the studio now. Eventually, I want to get the basement finished so there is carpeting and walls where I can hang the lovely works of other artists and my kids’ creations. Right now, it’s just the bare bones, but it’s all connected via remote so I just push a button to turn everything on before I go down!
My small-work easel. I paint all of my smaller works and fantasy art here at the easel. I keep my most important/regular paints that I use at the side of the easel, drying towels and brushes. I have the most unattractive chair but it works!
the mailing/music/candle area. I keep our old desktop computer (which the kids use for playing games now) along with any print material or small supplies (pins, clips, tape, markers, glue, burnable discs) as well as my incense burning/candle burning supplies here. My awesome iPhone/iPod music player sits there. I love that with a remote I can switch between songs on any app I have on it as well. this is called “up-cycling” things lol. Ugly desk but used now for other things.
My small supplies and document station. I keep my print shipment supplies, small canvases, painting supplies and cleanup supplies here. Notice that I have folders where I keep all of my records, contracts and financial documents for the business organized. I am not THAT organized
The drying racks. These are awesome for placing larger pieces to dry after being painted. Right now, the largest rack holds a pile of unstretched canvas and a very large 36″ x 48″ canvas right now. The smaller rack is holding the most recent paintings I’ve painted this week, waiting to be edged and glazed.
where I paint the larger scale and multiple piece painitngs. It gets real messy over here!
The printing and scanning area. My printing and scanning (redundant!) is done at this table. I have extra paints in the tupperware, and a carton where I put all packaged prints and limited editions in to cart easily!
the singing/packaging table. You can see I have already been getting alot of orders ready to assemble and package here. it’s also where I make my jewelry.
the storage area. It looks a slight mess but it’s really organized, holding shipping supplies, new/finished canvases and other supplies.
another view of the easel area for small work that I do. I have my notes/goals for the childrens book still written on the erase board. I actually need…to…FOLLOW my own to-dos on there, don’t I!?
